Experience the calming, loving, and healing energy of Reiki
Reiki (pronounced ray-key) is an energy healing method founded by Dr. Mikao Usui in Japan in the early 1900s. Reiki means “Universal Life Force Energy,” and the Reiki Practitioner is a channel for this energy. The practitioner lightly places their hands over the client's body in a series of hand positions, sensing where there are blockages. Reiki flows through the client’s body releasing stagnant energy and restoring balance, allowing the body to resume it’s function of self-healing.

On the physical level, Reiki brings the client into a state of deep relaxation, releases energy blocks to restore balance to the body, and helps to decrease pain and inflammation. In addition, when a client is ready to move through obstacles, reiki can facilitate emotional healing. Reiki sessions are conducted on a massage table, fully clothed.
Reiki is a holistic therapy which will work with any client’s personal belief system. Reiki is considered a complimentary healing modality which can be used in conjunction with traditional medical care. Major institutions such as Yale, Harvard, UCLA and the Mayo Clinic offer Reiki as a complement to traditional medical interventions. Reiki is and continues to become more popular in hospitals and medical facilities around the country.
